February Archive
Season 20 Ep. 7, booking flights, the beginning of my vlog girl era.

February took a sweet time to settle…
It was my birthday on the 12th, then Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year right after so I spent a lot of the month celebrating. Even though we are well into March, I am still savouring these moments and I want to be intentional about the things that I do share in these Archives. So I took my time.
I’m still processing turning 27 as well and I will be sharing more on that separately.
For now, here are the things worth archiving this February.
to watch
On a random Thursday night, J decided to have an impromptu date night at Cineplex. He picked out the movie and surprisingly, I really enjoyed that. Not knowing what the movie is about brought on a different kind of viewing experience for me.
This movie was a fun watch. Very camp, very Raimi.

to do
Sudoku, word search puzzles and reading Substacks on my Kobo
I’ve had my Kobo for 6 months now and only recently discovered how much more it can do beyond reading.

Birthday Freebie Run
For the last few years, I’ve kept a small tradition of doing a birthday freebie run. It feels slightly indulgent but I enjoy sharing all the goodies with my loved ones . Birthdays only happen once a year you know? So I let myself have fun!
Here are some of the highlights from this year:
Sunset Maki roll from Toro Toro, Egg Club Cream Cheese Corn Sandwich, Lindt Dark Chocolate Strawberry Truffles Bag

to use
I’ve been rekindling my love for fountain pens with inks from Ferris Wheel Press. Even though I am a black ink girl through and through, I’ve been feeling whimsical lately. I found myself reaching for these sparkly inks for journaling. Remember using glittery gel pens in elementary school? This felt like the grown up version of that!

Say hi to my new L.L. Bean Boat Tote

This is my second L.L Bean tote (my first was a black trim in medium) and I just adore these totes. I think they are so versatile, pairs well with any outfit and the kind of bag I would love to carry for many years to come. I also love custom embroidered anything so I ordered the small tote with my initial on it.
Some story behind this. I actually spent quite an embarrassing amount of time researching these bags on Tiktok deciding if I wanted the short strap or the long strap. I like how cute the short one looks but I wasn’t a fan of having to hold it by the handle or hanging it on the forearm. I ended up ordering the longer strap because it would fit under the shoulder better for everyday. Turns out, that wasn’t in the cards for me, they made a mistake with my order and I ended up receiving the tote with short straps.
I was slightly disappointed at first, but they refunded me and let me keep the tote, so it felt like a small win.
to look forward to…
J gifted me my dream camera as my birthday present this year and I am still taking it in. I actually left it unopened for 2 weeks because the joy was too overwhelming and I wanted to sit with that feeling for as long as I could.
For quite some time now, I’ve been sharing with him how much I want to experiment with Youtube. It’s been a slow-burning goal of mine.
I feel seen and very loved knowing that he supports all of my dreams. And, I am excited for all the memories I’ll get to document with this beautiful camera.
Speaking on vlogging, we booked a trip in May — my first true vacation in a long time!
I’ve been deep in itinerary planning and I can’t wait to share more in details.
Alright, that’s it for February. I’ve had lots of good fun and rest. Now, I am ready to gallop in March.
(Catch up soon in the March Archive! Bye for now!)
With Love,

I love these monthly reviews! love your appreciation for fountain pens. I 100% agree that colour ink adds such a whimsical touch to any journaling session. I can’t wait for you to start vlogging. I think you’d be so inspiring to watch.
Oh my gosh, that tote bag is the absolute cutest! What size is it?
I am so excited for your upcoming trip, your vlog era (subscribed!), and hearing what the next month brings.
Also, Rosie is so adorable.
